lyrics
Well its summertime and I think I might be losing my mind
And the thunderstorms roll in but they never begin, oh I swear
That the endless sun burns down a door in my head, still, I know this
Is the life that I’ve always wanted
So I fill the air with smoke
And we’ll go out tonight and we will
Dance out in the street
All, all of my friends have died
From the inside out to the beauty that surrounds them
And the silence that reminds us to get along,
Well I aint been gettin along to well
But soon we’ll all come to understand that one day will be
Left undone and there’s nothing we can do but get along
So lets go out tonight and we will
Dance out in the street
It never rains, never rains in July
Why does it never rain in July
And why does a lie feel just like the truth when you tell it just right
Looks like rain,
Looks like rain,
Looks like rain.

The Austin band’s fourth album feels like the bleeding edge of a breakthrough, a country-rock dream machine somewhere between a jolt and a drift. Bandcamp Album of the Day Nov 5, 2019
An outpouring of errant, psychedelic experiments from one of the UK's most underrated cosmonauts, texturally rich and sonically deep. Bandcamp New & Notable Apr 17, 2019
Bummer Year has some of the most vivid imagery I've listened to in a song.
"They're the kind of people who are with you in a bar fight even if you caused it for talking too much shit" is the pure poetry of loyalty, and just one of many lines that made me play this track over and over until I had to buy the album.
The music itself feels like a sunny day even if its been a "Bummer Year" glacialconcepts
